Communities have a right to determine how their local area will develop and to conserve what what is important to them. Without a neighbourhood plan, inappropriate development could change the character of rural and coastal communities. Neighbourhood Plans give communities a voice in
the planning process.
Our Future
Within the next three years, Devon County Council and South Hams District Council will be abolished to make way for a new Unitary Authority which will work directly with
parish and town councils.
